REMEMBRANCE DAY IN PEYIA
08 November 2009 dawned as a beautiful day to hold the first Remembrance Service in Peyia officiated by New Testament Community Church.
The service was held in the Peyia Municipality Car Park and was attended by approximately 280 people amongst which were Nicholas Kallikas representing the Cyprus Veteran’s Association and Peter Lenthall representing the “Help for Heroes” charity. An offering of €910.94. was given which was split between the two charities represented.

A challenging message was given by Pastor Peter Johnson after which people were invited to lay wreaths and symbols of Remembrance at the foot of the cross. All wreaths and symbols were later taken to the Memorial to the dead in Paphos.

Grateful thanks go to Peyia Municipality for all the help and assistance given. Also to everyone who gave time and effort in making the service such a success.
