MIKE AND JOY SMITH
Michael & Joy Smith came to NTCC in 2005, last year Joy was appointed Deacon along with her role as Secretary/Administrator. On April 6th this year Mike was appointed an Elder.
Mike came under the sound of the Gospel in the 60’s. When challenged at a North Wales Christian weekend, he responded by joining his local Baptist Church and becoming baptised. During the seventies he married and had two children. At the end of the seventies the marriage was floundering and Mike went away from the Lord. In the early eighties he met Joy, divorced and consequently married Joy.

As the new Millennium dawned, both Joy and Mike were considering retirement abroad, and in 2004 decided to move to Paphos. The move went ahead in 2005. They joined NTCC under the ministry of Peter Cox. New blessings were showered on them both, and gradually a deeper commitment and broader form of worship were embraced.
The fellowship grew and Peter Cox moved back to England, handing over to Peter Johnson. The growth continued and both Mike and Joy experienced a sense of belonging and fellowship more than they had before. As 2010 dawned, the Lord was working in both their lives.
The invitation to Mike to consider joining the Eldership came out of the blue, but after prayer and waiting on the Lord, the fellowship elected him as an Elder at NTCC.
